【展覧会概要】
近年、アジア各地で木版画による芸術・文化実践が再び注目を集めています。
本展は《解/拆邊界 亞際木刻版畫實踐 (脱境界:インターアジアにおける木版画実践)》と題し、 アジア各地から12の作家・活動団体(コレクティブ)による木版画を紹介します。とりわけ2020年 に始まったパンデミックでは、世界規模での人的・物的な移動と交流を強制的に断ち切る国家の 境界(国境)が再現前化し、また社会や心理における境界(差別や排外主義など)の分断と断絶 が問題化しました。本展示ではこのような「境界」をテーマにコロナ期を通じて制作された各地の 木版画を紹介することで、私たちのあいだを隔てる無数の境界を可視化した上で、これらの境界 からの脱出と解体を目指するトランスナショナルで協働的な文化芸術運動の軌跡を捉え直しま す。また、アジア各地の異なる地域・社会における木版画実践を比較することで、「アジア」という 地理的/政治的概念への批判的認識、さらなる理解や議論の可能性を開くことを目指していま す。

■Woodblock Printing Workshop
A woodblock printmaking workshop will be held by “A3BC”, a Tokyo-based collective that creates works with social and political themes such as anti-war and anti-nuclear. Woodblocks, ink, carving knives and fabrics will be provided.
