We are grateful to be part of the 2025 @biennalejogja! Huge thanks to @alia.swastika for the invitation and hospitality.
KAWRUH: Tanah Lelaku is projected as a reflection and ripple of values that shimmer in the timeline of the development of knowledge and collective traditions of the community. Through this title, Biennale Jogja 2025 continues to develop collaborative and participatory spaces with residents to reflect on local history, capture interpretations of mythology and ancestral narratives, and examine more closely the impact of landscape and land changes on today’s lives.
Our showcase is set in an abandoned building that was originally intended to be a supermarket, located on a busy street in the Bangunjiwo district. The space’s rawness and the use of local materials throughout the biennial create a sense of community and belonging.
Please do not miss our presentation if you’re in town.
