アジア版画コレクティブ大交流記
版画ワークショップ&報告会

今年の夏、マレーシアのサバ州で展覧会「叙異記（じょいき/語られる場所たち）：アジア横断的視点における版画実践」が開かれました。この展覧会では、香港、台湾、中国、韓国、日本、フィリピン、マレーシア、インドネシア、シンガポール…各地域の社会的課題をテーマに木版画制作をするアーティストや、アート・コレクティヴの作品が展示されました。
7月には東アジア、東南アジアから６０名の木版画制作者がマレーシア、サバ州で一堂に会し、３日間に渡るワークショップが行われ、相互交流し新たな連帯が生まれました。
日本(東京)拠点の木版画コレクティブ A3BC、マレーシア(サバ州)拠点の木版画コレクティブ パンクロック・スゥラップ 、「叙異記」共同キュレーターの江上賢一郎さんを迎え、版画プリントワークショップとマレーシアでの旅の報告会を開催します！

A Chronicle of the Grand Gathering of Asian Woodcut Collectives:
Printing Workshop & Reports from the Journey
This summer, the exhibit “Narrating Localities — Printmaking Practices in Inter-Asian Perspectives” was held in Sabah, Malaysia. The exhibit featured works by artists and art collectives from Hong Kong, Taiwan, China, South Korea, Japan, the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Singapore…all of whom use woodcut printmaking to address social issues in their respective regions.
In July, 60 printmakers from East and Southeast Asia gathered for a three-day workshop in Malaysia, fostering mutual exchange and generating new forms of solidarity.
Join us for a woodcut printing workshop as well as reports from the journey in Malaysia with woodcut collectives A3BC (based in Tokyo, Japan), Pangrok Sulap (based in Sabah, Malaysia), and co-curator of “Narrating Localities,” Kenichiro Egami!

Bring a T-shirt, tote bag, or any fabric item you’d like to print on with woodblock prints by A3BC and Pangrok Sulap. We will be using oil-based Black ink, so please wear clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty.
